What We Believe

These are the non-negotiable truths that guide us

What We Believe

We believe the Bible to be God’s inspired word. It is the first place we should turn with questions about faith and life. Scripture is the authority on which we base our faith, conduct, and doctrine. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe that God exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world. (John 3:16)

We believe in the Holy Spirit, Who guides, empowers, unites, and leads. (John 14:26)

We believe that, because of sin, our connection with God has been broken. But through Christ’s death and resurrection, that relationship – that connection – has been restored for those who place their faith and trust in Him. (Mark 10:45)

We believe that we were created in God’s image to be in relationship with God. (Ephesians 2:10)

We believe that each person is of worth and matters to God. (Luke 5:30-32)

We believe that, despite our imperfections, God loves us and has a plan for each of us. (Romans 5:8)

We believe that God has given each of us gifts, talents, and passions which can be used to glorify Him by serving others. (Ephesians 4:11-13)

We believe that God calls us to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. (Matthew 28:16-20)

We believe that the church must offer opportunities to people of all stages of faith to grow, serve, and participate in the life of the church. (Romans 12:9-13)

We believe that the Church exists not only for those who are a part of it, but also for those who are not yet a part of it. (Matthew 18:14)

We believe that it’s very difficult for people to understand God’s love if they are not first loved by us. (1 John 4:20)
