Small Groups

God never intended for us to go through life alone. Throughout the Bible, we see the importance of being in community. In fact, authentic life change happens in the context of relationships. There are no “Lone Rangers” in the Christian faith. At Mountain View, we see our small groups as the primary catalyst for spiritual growth.

It’s in these small groups that we develop and deepen friendships.

It’s in these small groups that we grow closer to God and His will for our lives.

It’s in these small groups that we are able to do life with people who will walk alongside us, no matter what we may be going through.

At Mountain View, we have several “long range” small groups, Bible studies, and Sunday School classes. We are also adding new small groups, many of which are short-term (usually six weeks or so.) Stay tuned as we add new opportunities to grow and get connected!

We are currently discussing the book, What’s It All About?, by Suzanne Dawson, an overview of the Bible that retells key events and presents the Bible’s answers to life’s fundamental questions. We started the New Testament in December.

Friends Eating And Sharing Together! FEAST dinner groups are a great way to meet new people. Groups consist of 6 to 8 adults. Each person or couple in the group will host one dinner during a six-month period. The host provides the entrée and short devotional or Bible study, and the other guests provide an appetizer, salad, side dish, bread, and/or dessert. Signup information appears in the newsletter before new groups form every January and July.

Meets at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall on the first Thursday of each month.

The Angels are a fun group of women who seek to make a lasting impact in our community, through special projects, missions, or outreach ideas. These include KSU C.A.R.E. (helping students at Kennesaw State dealing with homelessness or who may be struggling). You will often find the Angels helping with all kinds of projects and meals around the church.

Women of all ages are invited and welcome!

For more information about any of these small groups, reach out to the church office.
